Matt White

Owner & CEO

Matt is the team leader at Unwind and oversees the many aspects of operating a modern, high-end, short-term vacation rental property management company. His vision has led to what Unwind has become today—a luxury brand known for its elevated design, curated guest experiences, and exceptional service for property owners.

Matthew has a distinct affinity for architecture, fine furnishings, and luxurious environments. That, coupled with his desire to provide an exceptional client experience for both guests and owners, provides the foundation on which the Unwind brand was built. He currently has ownership in 22 short-term rental properties, several of which he has personally developed and designed himself. Under his leadership, Unwind now operates in 12 states and 17 markets across the U.S.

In addition to his role at Unwind, Matthew brings more than 17 years of experience as a financial professional. He began his career with two Fortune 500 firms, where he was consistently ranked among the top 5% of advisors nationwide. In 2014, he co-founded White and McGowan, a Registered Investment Advisory firm focused on helping physicians and dentists align their wealth strategies with both professional goals and personal values. He also serves as Co-founder and CFO of OMS Consulting, an oral surgery business with operations in 16 states, dedicated to expanding access to care for adolescent patients.

Naturally, Matthew’s financial expertise informs his approach to property management—ensuring that Unwind owners benefit from passive, yet meaningful investments. His entrepreneurial success was recognized in 2025 as a top finalist for the Shortyz Rising Star Award, and he was also honored in Arkansas Business’s “40 Under 40” list the same year.

Matthew earned his Bachelor’s degree from Harding University. He and his wife, Kelly, are the proud parents of four children and are actively involved in their community. They have served as foster parents and adopted their daughters Eliana and Kate Marie. From 2014 to 2019, Matthew served on the advisory board of The CALL in Pulaski County, a nonprofit supporting children in foster care.

Outside of work, Matthew enjoys investing in businesses and real estate, playing the piano and guitar, traveling, and reading about history and theology.
