Today, we’re spotlighting Scott Dutile, Unwind’s Director of Development.

Tell us about your family (including pets, obviously):
I’ve been married to my wife Amy for 17 years. We have 2 boys, Carson (11) and Riley (soon
turning 10). We have two dogs, Bentley, our 17-year-old Schnoodle, and Lucy, our 1-year-old
Aussie doodle.
What is your educational background?
I have a bachelor’s in marketing from Harding University
Describe one of your favorite childhood memories.
When I was around 8 or 9 my parents took us to Orlando, and we stayed in a resort called Westgate Vacation Villas. I remember they had bikes you could ride around the premises, 7 or 8 pools, basketball courts, paddle boats, and lots of buffets to choose from each day. My 3 older brothers and I were in heaven, never had we had so much fun and created so many memories as a family in only a weeks’ time. We continued to go back to that same spot for 3 more years, and just a few years back we had a family reunion where all of our kids could enjoy it as well.
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working?
My favorite things are playing with my 2 boys, weekly lunch dates with my wife, and playing guitar whenever I have free time.
What was the last really good movie you saw?
Peanut Butter Falcon. My co-worker Amy recommended it and I couldn’t believe I had waited so long to see such a great movie.
If you could spend a week anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
Probably Switzerland. I’ve had friends go there in the past and every video truly looks like a fairy tale.
What is a core value that guides your life? Why is it important to you?
My faith in God through following Jesus is the most guiding factor in my life. It ties my family together and continues to be the anchor that keeps us grounded when life gets crazy.
What is one of your favorite things about being part of the Unwind team?
I love being part of a newer business that’s still growing tremendously and works to be more innovative and accommodating to our owners and guests each day. I always say you’d be hard-pressed to find a more talented and overqualified property management company than Unwind.
What happens when you do your job well?
When I do my job well, connections are made. Whether it’s with new owners, realtors, builders, or investor groups, the goal is to understand their goals and discover how Unwind could partner with them for mutual success.
In your opinion, what sets Unwind apart from other vacation property management firms?
The caliber of the people that we have. Not only is the level of education impressive across the
company, but each person at their core is caring and full of integrity. This makes a difference
when it comes to building trusting relationships with owners, guests, and all of our vendors.
