Our Experience at the Banquet
Representing Unwind at the banquet were Joe, Zach, and Jillian. The evening began with inspiring words from county coordinator Melissa Furnell, who emphasized the profound impact of fostering and the unique opportunity it presents to make a difference in children’s lives. Her speech set the tone for a night filled with hope and community spirit.
Before the live auction, a few families shared their stories about why they chose to foster. These personal accounts highlighted the joys and challenges of fostering, and underscored the importance of providing loving homes for children in need.
The banquet featured both a silent auction and an exciting live auction, showcasing desserts made by foster families and various items and experiences generously donated by supporters. The auctions were not only entertaining but also a testament to the creativity and generosity of the community.
Guests were treated to a delicious dinner provided by Pea Farm Bistro, adding a culinary delight to the evening’s festivities. The combination of great food, engaging activities, and heartfelt speeches made the banquet a memorable experience for all attendees.
